Welcome to Vikings95cards! I’m Sam, the creator of the youtube channel,  Vikings95, and an avid Football card collector!

How I Started Collecting

I began sports card collecting around 2005-ish, well before I started high school. This was mostly low end collecting, but thankfully I was collecting around the Adrian Peterson rookie years! I still have many of these cards, and they hold more sentimental value to me because I opened them when I was young. I fell away from collecting during high school and college, but got back into it after I graduated from college, which was in 2018. I started my youtube channel after watching others open up their cards on video, and it seemed fun / entertaining. I was right! It has been an awesome time, and I love the entire process of having a Youtube Channel. Shockingly, it grew to over multiple thousands of subscribers…I am still surprised to this day!

About the Website

I’d like to thank you for checking out my website and blog! I’m excited to start this, and hope it is helpful to everyone who is interested in collecting sports cards, or just interested in youtubing in general! I plan on blogging about my experiences in the hobby, leaving links to some of my favorite hobby purchases, supplies, and more, and just having fun communicating with fellow collectors. My Personal Collection

With my football collecting, my main personal collection is of my Iowa State University Players! I know this may be deceiving with the name”Vikings95,” but the Vikings are my favorite NFL team, and Iowa State is my favorite college team. I collect Allen Lazard, David Montgomery, and Hakeem Butler – these are the players I watched as I attended Iowa State University! I have always enjoyed watching football, and card collecting has been a great hobby to go hand in hand with watching my favorite players. These autographs / jersey cards / cards of my favorite players hold memories and value that goes beyond dollars. It reminds me of being at Iowa State football games with my friends and family, and even reminds me of the old Vikings games I grew up watching with my dad! It is an awesome hobby, and I hope I am able to give back to it with my Youtube channel / Instagram account. If you haven’t started collecting, maybe think about it! It is a ton of fun!
