Storage Boxes – Let’s Stay Organized!
Storage boxes should be a necessity for any serious card collector. If you’re going to keep many cards, it is necessary to have a large capacity of storage so you can organize them and keep your area from being cluttered! I use many different sorts of storage containers for my collection ranging between plastic and cardboard. Some high end collectors even use specialized cases to store their extremely valuable cards! If you’re like the normal collector, like myself, large plastic containers and cardboard storage boxes will do the trick.
Small Storage Boxes
Small Storage Boxes are the cardboard boxes you’ll regularly shipped through the mail containing cards, and can normally hold between 100-1,000 cards, depending on the size. These are helpful for cards that do NOT have a top loader on them, as they will not hold as many of them if they do. These are great for base cards, or cards only in card sleeves. The top loaded cards will fit better in a shoebox case, shown below! See below for some of the small container options available on Amazon!
Larger Storage Containers
Large storage containers are used for holding a mass amount of cards, and accept top loaders much easier as well! I use these more often as I need to get them less often, and they hold MANY cards! These are more beneficial (in my opinion) because of the large size, and the capability to hold magnetic one touch cases and top loaders as well. I have a variety of the 2 rowed, and the 4 rowed boxes, as they fit together best while storing my cards. Below are some of the options from Amazon for the cardboard storage containers!
Plastic Containers
Plastic containers can also be used to store cards, but will need to be customized to fit certain card holders. I’ve used thick poster board or cardboard to create rows for cards within the plastic containers. These large plastic containers can usually be found at Walmart or Target, and aren’t very expensive. There are MANY methods to store your cards, so I hope you find one that suits your collection nicely!
High End Collection Cases
Below are some of the high end collection cases I found on Amazon. While I don’t use any of these, they do look pretty neat, but typically come with a hefty price tag. If you have ever used one of them, I’d love to know if it was worth the purchase, and if you enjoy using them!
